News Flash
Avril Lavigne copied her songs from The Rubinoos, at least, that's what they say.
Youtube videos have been put up on how Avril's song Girlfriend is so similar to The Rubinoos Boyfriend.
One's the MV about the Rubinoos and Girlfriend music and the other is MV about Girlfriend and Boyfriend music.
Although when I listened to the Rubinoos song, their song is so old school and so *yawns* whereas Avril Lavigne's one is more to the pop/rock side.
The feel is very different!
So what do you think?
Sure yea, the lyrics are similar but the feel is so different and not all lyrics are the same.
And she made Girlfriend popular, boy I didn't even know Boyfriend exists at all. CC told me theres this chinese band or whatever they sing boyfriend(chinese of course) but it was not very nice, at least not as nice as Girlfriend.
You even hear girlfriend on blogs, tv shows.
I used to put it on my xanga till it was so irritating that I decided to remove it.
